- Was very popular at the time.

- Unlike the original, The adventure of Link was a side-scrolling game.
- This is the only game in the entire series where Link can manually jump.
- Generally considered as the "Black Sheep" of the Series in the Zelda community. But in reality this was a great game... if you knew how to play it, that is.

- The first appearance of Hylian language is in Ocarina of Time.
- Due to the events in Ocarina of time and Majora's mask, this is where the Triple split timeline first occurs.

- The Oracle of ages is the Harp of Ages.
