Whaaaat? Zelda Republic? Where!?

Oh man oh man has it been a while.
A lot of stuff has happened, so let me fill you in.

First off, we did actually merge with Zelda Level. Unfortunately, Zelda Level went through some hosting issues and eventually the site was abandoned. Shora and I spoke briefly of revival, but it did not lead to anything.

We made forums for Zelda Level too but we decided it was too early and abandoned that too.
Sikora is aware that the revival of the site is in sight. I am personally hoping for a revival within a month, with dedicated staff. The site is basically starting anew, with all inactive staff fired and such.

Anyway, welcome to the simmering light that was once Zelda Republic. Staff dedicated to the revival of this site are very much needed.

The site has officially broken off from Zelda Level, and Sikora and I are co-webmasters who will be calling the shots here.

Good day.

Sorry for the downtime. There was some Technical issues we had to get through. For now Zelda Republic should run smoothly.
Our sincere apologies regarding this outage.  We are working with our hosting provider to make sure we don’t have such outages again.

Don't expect much from Super Smash bros WiiU any time soon.

In a recent interview with Smash bros creator, Masahiro Sakurai said the following in an interview with Nintendo Power:

“I can’t really say anything until things settle down with Kid Icarus…  And a lot of it will depend on the team that I end up assembling for Smash Bros.  It may take a while, but I think that your patience will be rewarded.”

So, after the release of Kid Icarus, Masahiro Sakurai will start to focus on the next Super Smash Bros installment.
I predict that smash bros will be released in November of 2013

Zelda Fire and Ice Prophecy: FAKE

1/17/2012

Yesterday a rumor popped up that a leak of the next handheld Zelda game was going to be called Zelda Fire and Ice prophecy. These games suggest that the next Zelda games would be very much like the Oracle games.

These Rumors were laid to rest after a ZU member known only as GlitterBerri (who can read and write japanese fluently) confirmed that the rumor was a fake.

The problems with the titles are…
-Using を instead of の, which renders it completely nonsensical
-Writing “fire” in kanji and “ice” in katakana makes the titles inconsistent. They should either write both in katakana or both in kanji.

But i think it would be nice to see the 3DS Zelda game to back to the Oracle series formula.
